The
Equipment Loan Program at Washington State University
The
Science Mathematics
Engineering Education Center at Washington
State University in Pullman, Washington, has long supported
the idea of quality science instruction for students of all ages.
With the support of grants from Howard Hughes Medical Institute,
Dwight D. Eisenhower Professional Development Program, the United
States Department of Education, and Boing Corperation. We have initiated
a program designed to broaden access of K-12 students to modern
science curriculum materials. This program was developed to provide
science teachers with equipment and supplies that enable them to
carry out classroom experiments, demonstrations, and exercises in
modern biology. The intent of this web page is to open new lines
of communication with those interested in any or all aspects of
the program, while at the same time making useful science information
available to both teachers and students. Please take the time to
browse through all of the different links we offer here. Enjoy you
visit with us!
Equipment
Available
Our Equipment Loan program has a significant inventory of equipment
commonly used for basic and enhanced experimentation in the high
school biology laboratory. All you need to do to use this equipment
is to schedule a 2-6 week block with our office. There is no charge
to you or your school. All we ask is that you return the equipment
in good condition and in a timely manner so that others may take
advantage of this program. The equipment is available throughout
the year on a first come first serve basis. For more specific information,
please call Annette Ross in the Equipment Loan Program Office at
(509) 335-8528 or you may email her at equipmentloan@wsu.edu.
The Equipment Loan Program's office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to
12:00 noon, Monday through Friday. You may also contact Dr. John
Paznokas, Director of the Science Mathematics Engineering Education
