Coverage: Sections 3.4-7; 4.1-4.

1. Terminology - Understand what terms mean and how to use:
   homogeneous, nonhomogeneous, characteristic equation, Wronskian, fundamental set, linearly (in)dependent, complex roots, repeated roots, undetermined coefficients, variation of parameters.

2. Techniques - Be able to use with simple problems:
   • solution of n$^{th}$ order constant coefficient linear homogeneous equations;
   • solution of n$^{th}$ order equations using undertermined coefficients;
   • solution of n$^{th}$ order equations using variation of parameters;
   • use of initial value(s) to determine final solution;
   • computation of Wronskians.

3. "Facts" and Theorems - Be able to use this information:
   • existence and uniqueness theorem for solutions to n$^{th}$ order linear equations.
