Homework

The only way to learn math is to practice, practice, practice by doing problems. The homework will be problems selected from the text.

Although no homework will be collected for grading, it is strongly suggested that you do enough problems so that you are capable of doing similar problems. Quiz and exam problems will be similar to the homework problems.

If you have difficulty doing the problems, then you need to get help. See if the on-line tutorials help, come and see me for help during my office hours, seek other help (tutoring in Gannon-Goldsworthy is available Monday through Thursday evenings shortly after the semester starts), get help from fellow students, or find some other way to get help.

No one will be hovering over you telling you to do your homework. It is up to you to find the motivation and time to do your homework. I can tell you how to do problems, but it is your responsibility to practice doing problems and thus develop your ability to do math.

You can do math better than you're doing it now....
